English Language Assessment Award Distribution Function

Jalandhar: On 6th February, 2018 Cambridge English Language Assessment award distribution ceremony was held .The event celebrated the success of the candidates who fared well and passed Cambridge English Language Assessment with flying colours. It was conducted by the Learning Wings Education System(LWES).LWES is the authorized centre for Cambridge English Language Assessment which is a part of University of Cambridge ,the United Kingdom. LWES has under its wing ,three schools namely: Cambridge International School for Girls(CISFG), Cambridge International School Co-education(CIS CO-Ed), Cambridge International Foundation IB School(CIF IB).
The Guests of Honour were the esteemed educators Mr Marc Smale ,Senior Lecturer in Initial Teaching Education and Mr Carl Longmore, Lecturer in Education studies, Mr. Paul and their team from Wolverhampton.
The dignitaries were Mr Ajay Bhatia-Chairman LWES , Mr Deepak Bhatia- President, Learning Wings ,Vice Chairman LWES ,Mr Nitin Kohli LWES ,Mr Brijesh Chief Executive Office LWES ,Mr J.K.Kohli- the Executive Director LWES ,Ms Deepa Dogra,Chief Academic Officer and our endeared principal, Ms. Geeta Mahajan ,Director Academics and Operation LWES,Ms Meenu Hurria and Ms Smita Verma members of the Secretariat.
Let’s know more about Cambridge English Language Assessment .It is a part of
the University of Cambridge and has been providing English Language Assessment and qualification for over 100 years. Cambridge University’s Examination Board (UCLES- University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate) was set up in 1858 to provide examinations to students who were not the members of a University .Because of a growing concern in Britain with the standards of school education ,UCLES was invited to set examinations and inspect schools with the aim of raising educational standard
The students of the schools of LWES have been undertaking the following examinations: YLE,KET, PET,FCE,CAE
On 6th February 2018, the much awaited English Language Assessment award distribution function was held at CISFG for YLE ,KET,PET ,FCE ,CAE from 4pm to 6pm at the school auditorium. The program began with the introduction of history of Cambridge English Assessment to the audience and role it has played in raising educational standards and of English language.
The much awaited Award function took place amidst the resonance of applause. There were 115 trophies including Distinction holders and Merit holders,95 certificate holders. They were felicitated by the Guests of Honour Mr Marc Smale, Mr Carl Longman.
The girls of Cambridge girls school sang a soulful and melodius classical song that deeply touched the hearts of audience.
The Guests of Honour addressed the gathering and commended the performance of the students. They complimented the team of LWES for successfully organizing the examinations and achieving commendable results.
To express the emotion ,achieve the wisdom and love of God ,girls of Cambridge International School for Girls presented Sufi dance. The audience embraced the divine presence of the Almighty through their soul stirring dance.
To express their gratitude for having graced the occasion , the management presented the souvenirs to the Guests of Honour and their team from Wolverhampton.
The vote of thanks was presented by our principal Ms Deepa Dogra.
The students of Co. Ed then projected the vigour and vitality of Punjab through the foot tapping beat of Bhangra .The students mesmerized everyone with their spectacular dance performance.
