UBS Ludhiana celebrated Foundation Day ‘Bemisal 11 Saal’

Ludhiana, August 7, 2018: University Business School (UBS), Ludhiana celebrated its Foundation Day on 6th August with great enthusiasm, fun and lots of learning. Panjab University, Chandigarh commenced the MBA programme at its P.U.Regional Centre (PURC) 11 years back in the year 2007, meeting the long standing demand of Ludhiana, the city that accounts for the largest industrial base in Punjab. Director, PURC, Prof.Ravi Inder Singh said, “We are proud that UBS Ludhiana has been successfully imparting quality and holistic management education and catering to the manpower requirements of the industry not only locally but globally also.” Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, Vardhman Special Steels Limited, Mr. Sachit Jain; Senior Researcher and Global Lead at Boston Consulting Group, Mr. Anuj Marwaha and Unit Trainer, Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana, Mr. Shrikant Juneja were the eminent speakers on the occasion. Mr. Jain had an interactive session with the students, briefing them about the skill sets required to lead in the times of uncertainty. He focused that one needs to embrace change, be flexible, develop his/her personality and cherish organisational values to be a dynamic leader. Mr. Marwaha, an alumnus of UBS–Ludhiana (Batch 2007-09), elucidated the different approaches to Problem Solving. The Coordinator, UBS-Ludhiana, Dr Ashish Saihjpal said, “The celebrations of the 11 years of the foundation of the UBS have doubled with the presence of our alumnus, Mr. Anuj Marwaha, which makes us proud and also motivates and inspires our students.” Mr. Shrikant guided the students on the human resource development and training in the service industry. He talked about “Empathy in Services Industry”. Shrikant in his motivating style conducted some fun games to illustrate the importance of empathy in one’s life as well as in industry.
