APEEJAY ORGANIZES NEWS ROOM DEBATE

Jalandhar, October 8, 2018: Library Club of Apeejay College of Fine Arts organized News Room Debate on Religion Vs Politics. Divided among two groups representing the ruling party and opposition, students dressed up and debated exactly like the real political figures. Both the groups questioned each other and demonstrated real life blame-storming taking place in actual news room debates. Saffronization of education, Ram Mandir issue, Triple talaq, cow slaughter, mob lynching were the major topics of debate. The debate concluded with neutral comments on both the parties.
Principal Dr Sucharita expressed her admiration for the concept and said that such role playing not only boosts confidence among youngsters but also enhances their awareness about socio-political issues making waves in media. Vishav bandhu Verma, Head, Department of History was congratulated for organizing the event in a thoughtful and presentable manner.
