Chandigarh, February 19, 2018: The auction for a total of 51 mines was held today. Out of 51 mines, no bidder deposited EMD for 30 mines and 4 mines were withdrawn from auction due to single bidder and for 1 mine all bidders were disqualified (30+4+1=35).
Disclosing this, an official spokesman said that the rest of 16 mines were put to auction and bids were received of Rs 46.62 crore against reserve price of Rs 9.62 crore. Total quantity of 11.13 lakh tonnes auctioned (for 16 mines). Average per tonne rate is Rs. 419.
