Chandigarh, June 18, 2015: The Punjab government today accorded its approval to a path breaking decision to allow maternity leave to the women employees working in the Adarsh Schools and schools set up under PPP mode.
Disclosing this here today Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that this major scheme was approved by the Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal. He said that all the teaching and non-teaching women staff of the Adarsh as well as the schools set up under PPP mode are entitled to avail the three months maternity leave. He said that they will get the leave on the same terms and conditions as laid down for the women employed on contractual basis under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Model Schools.
