Jalandhar, March 16, 2016: As a token of support to the Indian Cricket team in the world cup, a friendship cricket match was played in Lyallpur Khalsa College, between Teaching and Non teaching eleven on Tuesday. The teaching eleven playing under the captaincy of Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra made 160 runs and defeated the non teaching eleven Headed by Mr.Surinder Kumar, P.A to principal by 36 runs. The players of teaching staff are Prof. Baldev Singh. Prof. Manpreet Singh, Prof. Deep Kuma, Prof. Dinkar Sharma, Prof. Parminder Singh, Prof. Udebir Singh Waraich, Prof. Arun Dev Sharma, Prof. Sandeep Chaudary and Prof. Jatinder Kumar and the players of Non Teaching are Jaskarna Singh, Sandeep, Rakesh Singh, Rajiv Kumar, Karan Kumar, Kamal Kumar, Ranjit Singh, Jaideep Singh, Harjit Singh and Satvir Singh. The chief guest of the occasion was Dr. Balwinder Singh Head Commerce Department guru Nanak dev University Amritsar. Running commentary on the occasion was made by Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand and Prof. Karamjit Kaur.
