Sukhbir Singh Badal & Majithia greets people on eve of `parkash utsav’ of Sri Guru Gobind Singh

Chandigarh, January 6, 2014: The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal & Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today greeted all the Punjabis living in India and abroad on the eve of Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh  - the tenth Guru of the Sikhs.
In a message, they said that by creating Khalsa Panth in 1699, the great Guru gave the Sikhs, a separate identity. Guru Gobind Singh  infused the spirit of both sainthood and soldier in the minds and hearts of his followers to fight oppression in order to restore justice, peace, righteousness (Dharma) and to uplift the down-trodden people in this world, they added.
They exhorted the people to follow the teachings of compassion, oneness of mankind and universal brotherhood as preached and practiced by the Great Guru.
