Stupendous Victory of CIS Chess Team in District Championship

Jalandhar, April 18, 2015: Carrying  forward the torch of victory by living up to the expectations of one and all, the Chess  Team brought laurels to school by attaining envious positions in  District Chess Tournament held in  Police DAV School recently and by also being declared as the Overall Champion.   

Various positions were attained by students in various categories.

 In (U – 9), 2nd positions were attained by Jayan and Anahita in both Boys and Girls category respectively. In the same category, 3rd position was attained by Gunjan and 4th position was secured by Manya.

U-13 (Boys) made the school proud as the 1st position was attained by Anmol, 2nd was bagged by Namitbir and Dushant stood 3rd.

In U-13 (Girls) 1st position was attained by Yastika, 3rd was secured by Vavri, 4th by Nupur and 5th was bagged by Kannan.

Similar laurels were fetched by our school in U  - 17 category  also.

In U-17 (Boys), Dinesh stood 2nd ,Anshul stood 4thand Navdeep secured 6th position .

In U-17 (Girls), Lavnya stood 2nd followed by Hitarthi in 3rd position, Vani 4th,  Harshita  5th and Lavi  in  the 6th place.

The winning teams and participants drew appreciation from one and all.

Sports Department of the school was applauded by Principal for the

hard work put in by them for preparing teams and making them capable enough for winning these contests.
