Steering Committee of Haryana Education Department decided to collect statistics through department’s management information system

Chandigarh, July 31, 2015: With a view to further improve standard of education in government schools and let the teachers concentrate more on teaching, the Steering Committee of Haryana Education Department has decided that with effect from August 15 next, the statistics would be collected through department’s management information system and not through the teachers.
While stating this, a spokesman of the Department said that the Steering Committee had met here today under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary, School Education, Mr T. C. Gupta and took a number of decisions.
It was also decided to launch a quality improvement programme from the month of August for which a number of steps have been taken. He said that emphasis was laid on adhering to the schedule of filling up Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) of teachers. Those officers who would not send APARs of their subordinates on time, would invite action against themselves.
He said that it was also decided that those schools which have not uploaded the record of monthly examination or tempered with the conduct of examination or evaluation, they would also invite stern action against themselves. With a view to improve the standard of monthly examination, it was decided that Haryana School Education Board, Bhiwani would conduct monthly examinations from class III to VIII from the month of September. The Board of School Education would prepare question papers and also conduct evaluation. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
