Special swachhta campaign organized at Guru Nanak Girls College

Ludhiana: A special Swachhta campaign was organized by NSS Volunteers of Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana on 26th December. 
Director, Dr.(Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal motivated the NSS Volunteers and apprised them regarding the importance of maintaining cleanliness in their surrounding areas to make India clean and green. A special ‘Swachhta Campaign’ was also organized by NSS volunteers to sensitize the residents of the Gill Village to clean the Buddha Nullah under the theme ‘No Compromise for Health’. 
The NSS Volunteers were encouraged to participate in Swachhata Campaign by contributing their services in cleaning up the Nullah. More than 100 NSS volunteers carried out a rally at Village Gill, to spread awareness and educate people regarding the water pollution. The volunteers carried posters and placards in their hands with slogans written on them to evoke the common masses against the polluted ground water in the area.
