Special drive on “prevention of drug abuse and alcoholism”

Dharamshala, November 15, 2019: In pursuance to the order of Government of Himachal Pradesh and Directorate of the Forensics Service, HP, regarding special drive on drug abuse& alcoholism for one month from November 15 to December 15, the Office of the Deputy Director, Regional Forensic Science, Northern Range, Dharamshala initiated the campaign to boost special drive. Dr Neeti Prakash Dubey, Assistant Director and Rajesh Jamwal, Scientific Officer were there to sensitize of the students of Government High School, Shidhbari, Dharamshala on Friday. The officers deliberated with students on the ill effects of drugs and alcohol. The crime is increasing day by day due to intake of drugs and alcohol. The abuse of drug and alcohol produces very harmful effects on the psychology and physiology of abuser. Dr Meenakshi Mahajan, Deputy Director, “The officers will further be deputed for sensitization of students, villagers against drug abuse and alcohol at different places/ schools / Colleges of the area throughout the month.”
