Dharamshala, June 9, 2019: Senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and former MP Shanta Kumar said that Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Jairam Thakur flew on his first foreign trip in the morning today. Before this, Shanta Kumar congratulated him on telephone and wished him a good luck. Shanta said, “This is for the first time that a Chief Minister of Himachal is touring abroad to attract investors after making revolutionary changes in tourism and industrial policy of the state. Dharamshala is hosting an international investor’s meet in September this year and the preparation of such conference of investors has never been done before in such a planed way.” He added that the Chief Minister invited suggestions from us too and made the tourism policy investor friendly, after which he had meetings with investors at Bangalore and Hyderabad and now went abroad to invite investors for the said meet. “I believe that the investor conference of Dharamshala will be a historic one after which new and large Industries will enter the state and thousands of young people will get employment”, said Shanta. Referring Anurag Thakur, Shanta Kumar said,"New and young minister has arrived in Himachal from Delhi and once again I congratulate Anurag Thakur, who has made his place in the state and Centre with his merit and hard work, which is why he is the minister of an important department.” He said that Himachal Pradesh has a bright luck that from this small state Anurag Thakur has become the central minister and soon Jagat Prakash Nadda, is going to hold the bigger responsibility in the party. Shanta Kumar thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party President Amit Shah for giving such an honour to the Himachal and congratulate CM Jai Ram Thakur and the public of Himachal for the same. Earlier, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday at Delhi and requested him to inaugurate a global investors meet to be held in Dharamshala in September. The chief minister also discussed various issues pertaining to the state with the prime minister and apprised him about the global investors meet being held in Dharamshala in September this year.
