SAARTHI: Gives students- a productive exposure

Chandigarh, November 8, 2012: In this festive season where everyone is full of enthusiasm and is excited for Diwali, came an exhibition, bright, colorful and crowded held by Saarthi an organisation formed by the students of UIAMS, Panjab University ,Chandigarh. 

The products displayed were the gel candles, wax candles, colorful diyas and many other small little things.

There was something to suit everyone’s pocket.

The products displayed were prepared by the children through an NGO Ashiana,  in Panchkula.

This was organised by the students of Retail Management, 1st year at the UIAMS Department Panjab University.

It was a not-for-profit making but a step to encourage the under privileged children, said  Sanjeev Sharma, Director of UIAMS. “This exhibition was a rare opportunity and gave all the students a productive exposure. Sudhir Baweja , one of the lecturers at UIAMS, motivated us a lot “, said an organiser.

“This organisation is formed to promote the cause of different NGOs. We started with the exhibition of candles because we thought that this would be the best way to celebrate Diwali”, said all the enthusiastic team members of Saarthi.
