Rodrigues still tops goal-scorers list

Rio de Janeiro, July 5 (IANS) Converting the penalty against Brazil Friday night, Colombia's James Rodrigues scored his sixth goal to top the goal scorers' chart at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

However, Rodrigues will not be playing any more in the tournament after his team got eliminated, beaten 1-2 by Brazil, reports Xinhua.

Following are the leading goal scorers at World Cup finals after Friday's matches:

Argentinean Lionel Messi and Germany's Thomas Mueller, who have scored four goals each, and Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben, who have three goals, have a chance of catching up with Rodrigues, and even going past him.

Brazil's Neymar, who also has scored four goals, is, however, out of the competition with a broken vertebra sustained in the quarter-final match against Colombia.
