Chandigarh, December 11, 2015: An official spokesman today denied the report regarding failing of 51 of 52 students at I.T.I.(W) Nabha as factually wrong and said that there is a discrepancy in the result and this is not final result of these students.
Clarifying the issue he said that the fact of the matter is when these students appeared in the Final Trade Test of 1st Semester Exam held in January 2015 all these students wrote registration number instead of Hall Ticket Number (Roll No.) on the OMR Sheet (Optical Micro Reader). He said that these OMR Sheets are assessed by the Director General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, New Delhi and the result is forwarded to the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, which is the examining body. As roll numbers were not written on the OMR answer sheets therefore result of these candidates was shown zero. He said that on the receipt of this kind of result of these candidates, the institute approached the Board for correction of the result through DGT.
He said that as the matter is still pending with the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training and Director General of Training for correction of result, both the authorities are being asked to expedite the matter and declare the correct revised result at earliest possible.
