Faridkot, April 21, 2016: Punjab Deputy chief minister Mr.Sukhbir Singh Badal today reiterated that Punjab government has initiated recruitment process to fill 1.2 Lakh government post and advertisement for the same would issued in next 2 week.
Highlighting the skill development initiatives of Punjab government for youth, Mr.Badal said that two skill development centers would be set up in every block of border districts, where the youth would be imparted free training in various streams to increase their avenues for self-employment. He added that whereby they would contribute to the state’s development as also their own family by being self employed with increase in resources.
Addressing a massive gathering after inaugurating automated driving track test centre here, Mr. Badal said that Punjab Government was committed to create employment opportunities for the youth of the state. He said that it was SAD-BJP government that had lifted the ban imposed by previous Congress government on the recruitment for government jobs. He said that 200 skill development centers would be opened soon across the state to train the youth as per modern requirements of employment opportunities available.
Elaborating the functioning of automated driving track test centers, Deputy Chief Minister said that these centers would serve the purpose of conducting driving tests with the aid of modern gadgetry and issuing the driving licenses at a single place itself. He said that the benefit of this novel step would be seen in the end to the trend of people making daily rounds of various offices thereby falling prey to corrupt persons. He expressed happiness that Punjab is the first state in the country to have this facility at 22 district headquarters and 10 sub divisions with medical facilities at each center. He said that the transparency brought by these centres in issuing driving licenses would also help in improving road safety.
Prominent among others CPS Mantar Singh Brar, MLA Deep Malhotra, Chairman Punjab Agro Dyal Singh Kolianwali, Kultar Singh Brar Chairman, Harjeet Singh Bholuwala Chairman District Planning Committee and Gurtej Singh Gill were also present on the occasion.
