REAPPEAR EXAM OF 12TH STANDARD TODAY; 55000 STUDENTS TO TAKE EXAM; ALL ARRANGEMENTS FIRMLY IN PLACE

ADVANCE EXAM PURPOSE TO SAVE PRECIOUS YEAR OF STUDENTS PLACED IN COMPARTMENT: ARUNA CHAUDHARY
CHANDIGARH, JUNE 22, 2017: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is conducting re-appear examination in advance on 23rd June to save the precious year of students placed in compartment in 12th standard examinations. The Education Department has put all the necessary mechanisms in place for the smooth conduct of the examination.
Disclosing this here today in a statement, the Education Minister, Punjab, Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary said that a total of 55000 students would take the exam in 61 different subjects. The centres at district level have been made and the Deputy Commissioners have been asked to ensure proper arrangements. The minister further said that the Circle Education Officer would be incharge of the circle concerned and the District Education Officer (Secondary) would be incharge of his concerned district.
The Minister also elaborated that this is for the first time that the compartment exam is being conducted in June to save the precious academic year of the students. Earlier, the exam used to be conducted in September. She also divulged that helpline numbers 0172-5227136, 5227137 and 5227138 have been set up in the control room for the examination.
