Kapurthala, March 19, 2016: Sh.Hemant Kumar, Member Mechanical, Railway Board visited Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala and was greeted welcome by Sh.R.P.Nibariya, General Manager and all the Officers of RCF. He was accorded Guard of Honour on his arrival.

He inaugurated the 100 Kilo Watt Power Solar Panels which have been installed at Administrative Building Roof top as a part of eco friendly measures in energy saving at RCF. Later he visited workshop where he inspected a prototype of 200 kmph coach whose manufacturing is underway and likely to be completed soon. He also examined the coaches being built for Bangladesh Railways as a part of prestigious export order of 120 LHB stainless Steel Coaches . A presentation on RCF was presented before the Member Mechanical and he, later held elaborate discussions on various aspects related to RCF. Sh. Kumar also held discussions with representatives of various recognized union’s and associations .

In evening, Sh.Hemant Kumar presided over the Prize Distribution Ceremony of 74th All India Railway Hockey Championship for Mens at RCF Astroturf Hockey Stadium. RCF Hockey Team won the championship by defeating the defending champions Western Railways , Mumbai by 3-2 in a closely fought final through penalty shoot-out.
