Punjab News/Freedom from Fear – the philosophy of human rights

Kapurthala, December 10, 2013: While celebrating Global Human Rights Day in Guru Hari Gobind Senior Secondary School, Nadala, District Legal Services Authority, Kapurthala organised a seminar which was presided over by Manila Chugh, Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.)-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Kapurthala.
The students of the school were legally educated and it was stressed upon by Manila Chugh, Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.)-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Kapurthala that all the human beings born in any part of the world were equal in dignity and rights. The universal declaration of Human Rights and international covenants on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and on Civil and Political rights proclaiming the Principle of Common Standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations alongwith Fundamental Rights enshrined in the constitution of India were referred to.
