Chandigarh, June 1, 2017: The Punjab Government today appointed Dr.A.S.Sekhon as President of the Punjab Medical Council.
An official spokesman said that the term of Dr.A.S.Sekhon shall be for five years.
He further said that Dr.Sekhon served as a Captain in Army Medical corps from 1968-73. From 1974 onwards he served in the Medical Education Department, Punjab, held several important assignments such as M.S. Rajindra Hospital, Registrar Baba Farid University of Health Sciences and so many others important posts.
He also remained member of health committees of Government of India, UNICEF, WHO, Director of Adesh Medical College, Bathinda and consultant of Punjab State for ICDS programme.
