KVK ROPAR ORGANISED VOCATIONAL TRAINING ON PRESERVATION

Ludhiana, December 18, 2017: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ropar organized a vocational training on preservation of seasonal fruits and vegetables under the guidance of Dr.Vipan Kumar Rampal, Deputy Director (Training). Dr.Rampal motivated farm women to develop strong linkage with KVK experts for such types of skill development training. Approximately 20 farm women and girls were participated in this training. Dr.Mandeep Sharma, Assistant Professor (Home Science) said we can add value to the seasonal fruits and vegetables by making pickles, jam, chutneys, squashes and sharbat etc. She said rural women can increase their family income by adding value to the seasonal fruits and vegetables and adopt it as venture. Lecture and demonstration on production of natural vinegar was also given by Dr.Kochar, Microbiologist, PAU, Ludhiana.
