Chandigarh, December 3, 2014: The Punjab Government today notified the appointment of the Divisional Commissioners of Patiala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Faridkot and Rupnagar to work as Commissioner Rehabilitation & Resettlement in their respective Divisions, under the provisions Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
According to an official spokesperson of revenue, rehabilitation & disaster management department Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar districts have been notified as high potential growth districts, Bathinda, Fatehgarh Sahib Patiala, Roopnagar, Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar districts have been notified as middle potential districts whereas Sri Muktsar Sahib Barnala, Faridkot, Fazilka Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Mansa, Moga, Pathankot, Sangrur, TarnTaran have been notified as low potential districts.
