Punjab Education department to organise special programs on national unity day in schools

Chandigarh, October 28, 2014: The Education Department has decided to organize programs involving the students and teachers to march the National Unity Day. The programs would continue from October 29 to 31, 2014.
Disclosing this here today an Official spokesman said that pursuing the instructions received from Union Human Resources Ministry, National Unity Day is being organised in the schools. He said that the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel is being commemorated on October 31, 2014.
He said that the motive of these programs is to inculcate the feeling of national unity, integrity and security among the teachers and students. He said that various types of declamation, quiz contest, poster making, colas making, painting competition would be organized at block level on October 29. He said that winners of these competitions at block level would further participate in the District level competitions on October 31. He said that students and teachers would be participate in Unity race and would be administrated oath. At the culmination of the programs NCC cadets, Scouts and Guides would participate in march past.
