PU Dental Institute Celebrates World Orthodontic Health Day (WOHD)

Chandigarh, May 15, 2018: Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics at Dr.Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a painting competition on the theme of “Orthodontic Awareness” to mark the occasion of World Orthodontic Health Day (WOHD), here today. Many patients participated in the painting competition, out of which Anshi won the first prize. Divanshi was the runner up for the competition and Neha Dhiman and Tikshika won the consolation prize.

The winner and runner up of the painting completion will now be provided free of Cost and immediate orthodontic treatment. The consolation prize winners will be provided immediate orthodontic treatment. It is pertinent to mention that for orthodontic treatment there is a waiting list of around 1 year and all the above prize winners will be immediately taken for treatment without waiting.

Every year 15th may is celebrated as WOHD to marks the signing of the World Federation of Orthodontist’s (WFO) charter in 1995 during the 4th International Orthodontic Congress in San Francisco. World Orthodontic Health Day is designed to tie the WFO’s past and future together.
