PU Assistant Professor to Present Paper In Vienna

Chandigarh, June 22, 2016: Dr Namita Gupta, Assistant Professor in Centre for Human Rights and Duties, Panjab University has been invited to present two research papers in 3rd International Sociological Association (ISA) Forum of Sociology organized by International Sociological Association in Vienna (Austria) from July 10 to July 14, 2016.
The theme of the conference is “The Future We Want: Global Sociology and the Struggles for a Better World”. She will be presenting her paper in two sessions namely “Emerging Research in Environmental Sociology” and "An Eco-systemic Approach to the Development and Evaluation of Public Policies, Research and Teaching Programmes". One of the paper “Dams and Development: Stress factors for Environment and Society” is co-authored with Mr Rajiv Gupta, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh.
