Mr.Chopra is a known name in the printing arena world over. A qualified printer and a Gold Medallist in printing technology, Mr. Chopra has many laurels to his credit including the award from H.E. The President of India and Global Print Leadership Award at Chicago USA by NPES. One of his work - the unique 13 page calendar offering a complete history of Printing that goes back to over 100,000 years found place in the Printing History Museum in Beijing, China it is considered a huge contribution to the history of printing. He was also felicitated at Birmingham (UK) by the BUMPSA for his achievements in the printing industry.
While thanking the MCU on the occasion, Mr Kamal Chopra said, it is the greatest honour for the printing industry; perhaps it is for the first time ever in the history of printing that such a felicitation if given to a printer in India. I am thankful to Prof. B K Kuthiala, Vice Chancellor of the University and Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for bestowing such an honour to a printer like me.  Printing, he said, is a fast growing profession, only ink on paper is not printing now. In this digital age printing is also developing as a versatile media, we can print taste, touch, odour etc. These days food, buildings even human organs also are being printed. We need lot of qualified printing engineers to cope with the latest developments especially in 3DPrinting and Printed Electronics. It is great that MCU is preparing the qualified printing engineers capable to handle the printing of tomorrow. It will be my good fortune to work with MCU to train the printers of tomorrow.
