Ludhiana, March 25, 2016: A week long International Student’s Fest culminated into the final day where His Excellency Bothata Tsikoane, High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho, New Delhi was present as Guest of Honor. There was a long affair with a gala rejoicing amidst singing, traditional dancing, three different fashion shows, Guitar Playing, Short Presentations/ documentaries.

For the past week PCTE has been celebrating the existence of different races and diverse Culture that has been brought together under the PCTE Family. In the festival foreign students played football. In the finale foreign students displayed their talent in Fashion show, Dramatics, Music, Dance, etc., and documentary of their respective countries showing their culture and rich heritage was also shown on the occasion.

H.E. Bothata appreciated the efforts put in by international students to showcase the variety of cultures and traditions on stage. He said that International students after studying in PCTE leave with broader perspectives on a broad range of issues. He also added that Ludhiana being industrial capital of Punjab, foreign students should take advantage of that and try to forge relationships with local industries, which would help in making relations.

On the occasion, Dr K.N.S. Kang, Director General, PCTE group of institutes said that PCTE has 240 International students from 30 countries including Bhutan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Niger, Colombia, Maldives, Syria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea Conakry, Gambia, Ghana, Lesotho, South Sudan, Uganda, Republic of Congo and Papua New Guinea who are studying in different courses at PCTE.

In the event different cultural dresses were showcased through fashion shows, which enlightened the audience on how different countries dress. An amazing performance was displayed by Afghanistan & South Sudan students, who performed their traditional dance. The traditional song sung by Lesotho student, Leboang amused the crowd. Guitar played by Hayden, a student from Papua New Guinea captured the audience and not forgetting a duet song by Serna and Amanda was pick of the event.
