Jalandhar, April 29, 2016: Students of Cambridge International School (Chotti Baradari) proved their mettle yet another time by winning the Overall Trophy in The Tejas, VII Inter–Cambridge Schools Sports Meet, organized at Cambridge International School, Kapurthala and inaugurated by Padam Shri Pargat Singh, MLA Jalandhar Cantt., Ex Director Sports Punjab and former Indian Hockey Captain on 16th April,2016 and closed by Niripjit Singh,Arjun Award Winner(Volley ball) on 19th April,2016.Various events were a part of this meet and all the participants of the Inter -Cambridge Sports Meet brought laurels to the school by bagging various positions in different events.
The final day filled everyone with pleasure and felicity when the Overall Trophy was won by the boys of Cambridge International School,Co-ed for the 7th consecutive time. The girls were also declared as Overall runner up.
Stiff competition was witnessed in all the events, spectators cheered the participants and the resonance of their applause motivated the participants greatly.
The Boys clinched positions in a total of Nine games; Athletics , Chess, Table Tennis, Basket Ball, Yoga, Kho kho, Tennis, Volley Ball, Skating. Four games out of nine i.e Chess, Basket ball, Skating, Table-Tennis were won by Co-ed Girls.
The training and the efforts put in by Sports Department was lauded by one and all. Participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their sports teachers for providing this opportunity which paved the way to their success.
