Jalandhar, January 10, 2016: Known for the best fitness club in city, VRV fitness center organized a cricket match titled ' Honor to Dr Mann' Cricket Match here today.
This match was dedicated to Dr Manveen Mann, a known gynaecologist from city on her birthday. The match was played between black and blue teams of VRV fitness. In this 12 over match, the toss was won by blue team and opted for balling first. Black team scored the total run of 157 in which 30 runs were scored by Black VRVian Sunny. He was catch out with the ball served by Rajneesh Sharma.
Later, Anurag from Blue team scored the highest run of 71. The team only managed to score 141 runs in 12 overs and lost the game. He hence got the tag of man of the match.
While congratulating the winners, activist of VRV fitness Romy Bagga said, "Our motive has always remained to spread fitness among youth and others. On every Sunday, we organize similar fitness programs like cycling, trekking etc for professionals."
Presently, there are more than 200 active members of fitness center which encompasses doctors, teachers, businessmen, students etc.
On this occasion, Dr. Shamsher Singh from PIMS, Businessmen Rajinder Juneja and Harpreet Bhatia, Sheller Mukesh Jain and his wife Geetika Jain, Pharmacists Gaurav Tiwari and Adwaita Tiwari, Sanjeev Bansal, Bunny Hothi, Nikhil Sareen etc were present.
The match was being played in a ground located in Mithapur.
