Plantation drive at Department of Biochemistry, PU

Chandigarh, August 29, 2018: Plantation drive was carried out around BMS Block-II, in the Sector 25 Campus of Panjab University, Chandigarh. The Tree Plantation Drive was like a green festival for the Department of Biochemistry, mobilizing the faculty, staff and students into a community of passionate tree planters and lovers who worked towards preventing loss of green cover and promoting plantation. Nearly fifty (50) trees were planted with help of Horticulture Department of the University. "Tree plantation is a necessity, need of the hour and planting of trees is protects our environment against air pollution and global warming apart from providing fruits, flowers and medicines" commented Prof. Archana Bhatnagar, Chairperson, Department of Biochemistry, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
