Plant at least one sapling in this monsoon season: Kalia

Go green drive in the Master Tara Singh Nagar Park complex at Jalandhar

Jalandhar, July 14, 2019: Former state president and former minister Punjab Manoranjan Kalia today planted a saplings under the go green drive in the Master Tara Singh Nagar Park complex here.

The event was organized by Yarana Club under the presidentship of Sandeep Jindal. The saplings planted were of different varieties.
Those who planted the saplings hoped that these fruit trees once fully grown would certainly benefit the human beings and birds besides enriching environment in its surroundings.

Speaking on the occasion, Kalia congratulated the organisers for holding the event. He added such drive was the need of hour to keep environmental balance. He said trees were important for maintaining environment pollution-free.

Kalia advised that everyone should plant at least one sapling in this monsoon season and nurse it for a year to let it become a fully grown tree.
Adding, Kalia said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi too has planted a sapling in Varanasi from where he had given a clarion call for the plantation drive and made an appeal to masses to participate in this drive.
