PAU Plans To Hold Training Course On CNC Machines

Ludhiana, June 18, 2015: The Department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has planned to organize a two-week hands-on-training course on the “Operation and Programming of Computer Numerically Controlled  (CNC) Machines” from - July 15, 2015. This course is eighth in the series as earlier this type of training course was conducted with a great success.

Dr G.S. Manes, Head, Department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, PAU called upon the agricultural machinery manufactures, I.T.I pass outs and educated village youths of Punjab to participate in the training course enthusiastically. Giving details, he informed, “A total of 20 participants will be short-listed for this training programme. The training fee is Rs 3000/- per participant. The boarding and loading will be arranged at PAU as per the university norms and expenditure will be borne by the trainees from their own pocket." “The experts will impart theoretical as well as practical training on CNC lathe, CNC milling, CNC drilling, EDM machine and latest manufacturing technologies,” he added. Dr Manes highlighted that this training will be useful in enhancing the skills of the participants. In addition, it will provide more employable opportunities to the village youths in the production/manufacturing units, he observed. Certificates will be distributed among the participants after the successful completion of the training.
