Ludhiana, April 10, 2015: An awareness programme on “Higher Education” was organised by the Directorate of Extension Education at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today, wherein a total of 482 students of X and XII classes participated alongwith their parents. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr R.S. Sidhu, Director of Extension Education.
In his address, Dr P.S. Aulakh, Additional Director of Extension Education highlighted the remarkable contribution of PAU to the food security of the country.
The Course Coordinator, Dr T.S. Riar informed the participants about various academic programmes being offered by PAU and GADVASU after X and XII. Besides, he also apprised them of entrance tests for admission to diverse academic programmes of the both the universities.
Dr Rupinder Kaur, Associate Professor of Extension Education, proposed the vote of thanks.
The experts including Dr P.K. Chhuneja, Dr Vishal Bector, Dr Shammi Kapoor, Dr H.K. Verma, Dr K.S. Dharni and Dr Kiran Grover shed light on the courses, being offered by their respective colleges and departments.
