Workshop on Entrepreneurship Concludes at Khalsa College

Jalandhar, April 4, 2015: The 3 day workshop on entrepreneurship ended today at Lyallpur Khalsa College. Organised jointly by the College and EDC centre GNDU College Jalandhar, the workshop was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi and EDII Ahmedabad wherein experts of the field guided and enlightened students on the key factors relating to entrepreneurship.

The Coordinator of the workshop Ashish Arora informed that this workshop had participation of 55 students. The key resource persons of the workshop included Prof. JM Kalra GNDU College Jalandhar, Balwan Singh Chief Manager and BM Sharma Assistant Manager UCO Bank and Prof Jagmohan Mago from APJ College of Fine Arts. The Chief Guest of the valedictory session was JMA president Ehsan-Ul-Haq who speaking on the occasion said that development of enterepreneurial skills was the need of the hour and programmes like this could pave a way to this objective. In his address the college principal Dr GS Samra said that choice of a career was a crucial decision in every individual’s life and it was essential for one to choose a right kind of career according to one’s talent. He also said that the college was going to organise more of such programmes in future. The vote of thanks was presented by Dr. RS Sandhu, the co-coordinator of the event.
