Students of PCTE, Ludhiana in jubilant mood during 8th annual convocation.

Ludhiana, December 19, 2015: PCTE Group of Institutes organised its Eighth Annual Convocation function at PCTE Campus – II. About 600 graduates were awarded their degrees in various disciplines like PGDM, MBA-IB, MCA, M.Sc-IT, BBA, BCA, B.Sc ATHM, B-Pharmacy, and BHMCT. Keeping in mind the significant presence of international students on campus, there was a representation of students from 30 countries with their respective flags. Sh. Rakesh Kumar Verma, IAS, Vice Chancellor, PTU was the chief guest of the function. H.E. Ahmed Mohamed, High Commissioner, Maldives to India, was the guest of honor.
 
Outstanding students were awarded trophies, college colors and degrees for excellence in academics. Awards such as “Most Outstanding Student of the College”, among others, were awarded. As PCTE is an institution which focuses on the overall development of its students, and recognizes that extra-curricular activities and sports need to be recognized as well, awards for these were awarded as well. A special award for being “responsible citizen of India” was awarded to Mr. Vikram, who helped a student of PCTE, who after being hit by some vehicle was lying unconscious by the roadside.
 
Rooppreet, a student said, “The convocation is one of the most important days in a student’s life, and we are so happy after receiving our degrees. The campus atmosphere was very festive today, and it was amazing celebrating this momentous day with my batch-mates and my family.” The chief guest motivated the graduates by saying it is necessary to have a professional attitude to become successful.
 
His Excellency said that it was heartening to see young, vibrant faces, enthusiastic to start a new chapter in their life, and it was a pleasure to be a part of this momentous day.
 
Dr K.N.S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes, said he was glad that the graduation ceremony went off well. He congratulated the graduates on the completion of their education, and wished them luck for their future endeavors.
