Ludhiana, August 17, 2015: GGNIVS held a talent hunt junction for the students of the institute. The function began with a welcome speech by Shazia from B.Com 5thSem. She welcomed the college Co-ordinator, S.Manjit Singh Chhabra and expressed her gratitude to him for ensuring his presence.
Freshers were extended a warm welcome with some valuable tips from the Co-ordinator of the institution. Students from various classes, B.Com, BA, B.Com (Prof.), BBA and B.Sc (IT) enthralled with their exceptionally energetic performances. A wide range of items were showcased. Solo Song, Solo Dance, Rap and Poetry were presented.
The programme began with a solo song ‘Nit Khair Mangan’ by Raja. He was simply superb and had everyone bursting into loud applause.
Anchors Pavneet and Jaskaran from B.Com (Prof.) added zest by their in between antics. Solo dance by Shashi Kant and Karamjot was a through entertainment. Prof. Gulbir Kaur and Prof. Satinderjit Kaur were the judges for the day. Shashi Kant bagged the first prize in solo dance. Karamjot was adjudged second.
Ashish was the winner in poetry recitation. In solo song Paramjot, Raja Singh and Vinay were first second and third respectively. Rap was another item that was thorough fun. Vishesh was the winner in this category. Pavneet and Jaskaran were the entertainers of the day.
The function ended with a patriotic group song that left everyone emotionally charged.
Co-ordinator of the college Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra distributed the prizes amongst the winners and showered them with his blessings. He also thanked the judges.
“Such functions provide a platform to bring out the hidden talent of the students confidence gained out of such events go a long way in making them well rounded personalities.” said the co-ordinator.
Shazia from the B.Com 5th sem extended the vote of thanks.
