PATH of Sunderkand on `Sankranti’

Ludhiana, July 17, 2013: Path of Sunderkand was organised on the occasion of Sankranti in the premises of Shree Shiv Mandir, on Daba Road (street No.6) in the New Shimlapuri area here today.

The event was organised jointly by Shree Shiv Mandir and Dharamshala Sabha. Path of  Sunderkand was recited by members of Divya Jyoti Jagran Sansthan.

Shakti Sharma, senior BJP leader, was the chief guest. Rajneesh Dhiman, District Secretary BJP, was also present.

The Sabha president Sanjeev Dhiman spoke about the importance of the day. He said they organised “bhajan-sandhya” on the occasion of Sankranti every month.

The Mandir Sabha patron Manjit Rani Sharma and others including, Kulwant Chand Sharma, Jaswnt Rai Sharma, KK Dogra, Amit Sood, Ravinder Rajput, Gajinder Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma, Anil Joshi, Shubham Dhiman, Pt . Dinesh Parshad Joshi and Dr Varinder Dogra  were present.

It may be mentioned here that `Sankranti’ means transmigration of the Sun from one constellation to the next. There are a total 12 Sankranti in a year and each Sankranti is known as the beginning of a month.
