Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann campaigned for Laljit Bhullar in Zira and Bhikhiwind

Khadoor Sahib/Chandigarh, May 15, 2024: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann campaigned for Aam Aadmi Party's candidate from Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha constituency Laljit Singh Bhullar on Wednesday. Mann did a road show with Laljit Bhullar in Zira and Bhikhiwind and appealed to the people to make Bhullar win.

Thousands of AAP workers, leaders and common people attended the road show. People welcomed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann by showering flowers on him and raising slogans. During the road show in Zira, Mann told the people that I have not come to ask for votes from you. I have come here to ask for your support to make Punjab Rangla again. In Bhikhiwind, he told the people that Majhails are known for writing history and looking at this enthusiastic crowd, it is clear to me that this time too a new history will be written in Manjha.

During the speech, Chief Minister Mann attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party and said that the BJP is trying to divide Punjab too, but the seeds of hatred can never grow in Punjab. Punjab has always been known for communal harmony. The people of Punjab never tolerate the politics of hatred. People here celebrate Gurpurabs, Eid, Holi, Diwali and Navami together. BJP's politics of hatred can never succeed here.

He said that the BJP discriminates against Punjab. The BJP's central government removed Punjab's tableau from the 26 January parade. In that tableau, Lala Lajpat Rai, Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Mai Bhago were mentioned. He asked who is the BJP to reject the martyrs of Punjab?

Mann said that it is a matter of great happiness that till now four phases of Lok Sabha elections have been concluded and BJP is losing in all the four phases of elections. That is why PM Modi's tone has changed. Now he has come down to the politics of hatred.  He is asking for votes in the name of caste, religion and mangalsutra. He wants to scare people in the name of caste and religion and take their votes because he has done no work worth recounting.

Warning the people, Mann said that this time we have to defeat the BJP at any cost. If the BJP wins this time, it will change the constitution of the country and end the electoral system in the country. Then there will never be elections in the country. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to implement the law of Russian President Vladimir Putin in India.

He said that the Aam Aadmi Party does not do politics of hatred like the BJP. We do the politics of work. In this election also, we are asking for votes from the people on the basis of our work of the last two years. We gave government jobs to 43000 youth in the last two years. Made electricity bills free for 90 percent of the houses. Opened 830 Mohalla clinics and built Schools of Eminence. At the same time, farmers were given sufficient electricity for farming during the day and canal water was supplied to 59% of the fields.

Referring to the Road Safety Force (SSF), Mann said that last year we formed the Road Safety Force, which has saved about 1250 lives in road accidents so far. Last year in March-April, about 1500 people died in road accidents. Whereas this year only 250 people died in these months.

Apart from this, we have also strengthened the security system and police. We have given new vehicles to the SHO of every police station so that they can easily do patrolling day and night and create an atmosphere of security among the people.  He said that during the previous governments, police vehicles were old and useless.

He said that our government is the first government of Punjab which has done more than promised. We have closed 16 toll plazas in Punjab due to which Punjabis are saving about 58 lakh rupees every day. We are giving ₹1 crore to the players who win medals for the country and the soldiers who are martyred for the country and the state. Apart from this, we are delivering ration to people at their doorsteps. Whereas we did not even promise all these things during the elections.

He said that tomorrow our leader Arvind Kejriwal is coming to Punjab. He will do a road show with us in Amritsar. He said that the BJP people had the misconception that by putting Arvind Kejriwal in jail, they will finish the Aam Aadmi Party, but they did not know that the Aam Aadmi Party is like a river and the river makes its own path. The river cannot be stopped from flowing.

Mann also attacked Akali Dal and Sukhbir Badal. He said that the Akali Dal is unable to find 13 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Punjab. On Sukhbir Badal, he said that he comes out of the house after asking the temperature. When the temperature is around 30 degrees, he takes out the Punjab Bachao Yatra for two hours. How can we expect the welfare of Punjab from such people!
