Panjab University hosts British Council’s Study UK Fair
Chandigarh, November 22, 2019: Dean International Students Panjab University, Chandigarh has partnered with British Council, the UK’s international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations, to bring the latter’s ‘Study UK Fair’ to its students on 25th November from 11:00 a.m. to 4: 00 p. m at Mulk Raj Anand Auditorium, PU. The fair will bring representatives from UK universities to engage directly with the students and address their queries regarding studying in the UK. Speaking on the partnership, Prof Nandita Singh Dean International, Panjab University, said, “The current time period – deemed as the research season – is crucial for students contemplating to study abroad. As part of their research, they seek various sources and invest heavily in having all the right information to choose the college/ university that is the best match for the course and career of their choice. Their usual sources of information include online search, educational fairs and counsellor sessions. We are glad to host this fair as this Will help our students to make an informed decision about studying in the UK.” The UK is a sought-after education destination for Indian students, especially in North India and Punjab. Through British Council’s Study UK Fair, Panjab University seeks to help aspiring students from Chandigarh and neighbouring areas to get the right information directly from the UK universities and to help them find the courses of their choice, areas of interest that are aligned to new opportunities.
