PANCHAYATS should contribute lion’s share for development: Kamal Sharma

Ferozepur, July 15, 2013: The Punjab Government is organising development on war-footing in rural and urban areas and with the over-all development, the state is touching the heights of developments.
These views were expressed by Kamal Shrma, Punjab BJP President and Sher Singh Ghubaya, MP while addressing the newly elected representative of Panchayats here.
Both Sharma and Ghubaya appealed to the representatives of Panchayats to contribute a lion’s share by concentrating on the development of villages by forgetting their grievances and the Punjab Government would provide the necessary financial assistance.
Addressing the seminar, Manjeet Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozpeur said, “The Panchayats which will do the best work without any dispute or controversy, will be given special grant for the development of the village”.
“The Panchayats to plant maximum trees apart from looking after their growth to keep the environment neat and clean”, he added.
On this occasion, Jagtar Singh Katora, District BJP President, D. P. Chandan, Seniorn BJP leader, Mohinder Sigh Virk, Kikkar Singh Kutbewala, Makhan Singh, Member SS Board, Surinder Singh Bagge Ke Pippal, Shamsher Singh Kakar, Sushil Gupta and in good number of Akali and BJP workers were present.
