Oxford University Press organised Principals’ Meet on Importance of 21st Century Skills in School Education
65 leading eminent schools of Kolkata participated in the principal’s meet Oxford University Press, the world’s largest university press, today organised a principal’s meet in Kolkata to discuss the “Importance of 21st Century Skills in School Education”. A total of 65 schools participated in the session led by Dr Manisha Priyam that focused on ways to exemplify and embed 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration and creativity and innovation in teaching methodologies. “To educate teachers on 21st century skills in education, we need to cultivate and maintain the student's interest in the material by showing the knowledge implementation in the real world. We should try to increase student's interest, which will help them become lifelong learners”, said Dr. Manisha Priyam, Associate Professor, National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration.
