NEC India ties-up with Amity University to offer training program in Japanese language, culture and business practices
Amity University, Haryana (AUH) and NEC Technologies India (NECTI) have announced the launch of a joint training program in Japanese language, culture and Japanese business practices for Amity University students. NEC Japanese Language Academy (NJLA), the language and intercultural training academy of NECTI, will facilitate the training program. Over 200 students are expected to be trained under this program. An MoU was signed by Mr. Piyush Sinha, Deputy Managing Director, NECTI and Prof (Dr) Padmakali Banerjee, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean Academics in the presence of key officials and dignitaries from Amity School for languages and Amity Skills Institute. NECTI will act as a skill development training partner of Amity School of Languages and assist the university in providing Japanese language training and skill-based knowledge training, especially for IT and mechanical engineering students of AUH. Students from other streams are also open to take this training program. The university will offer intensive diploma and certificate courses as a joint program between AUH and NECTI. Enrolled students will get an opportunity to visit NECTI and will also be taken on education tours to get practical exposure. Trained students will also be given access to internship opportunities at NECTI. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Piyush Sinha said, “We are delighted to partner with Amity University for training students. Global supply-demand dynamics in skilled manpower offer great opportunities for Indian students. The program will offer an edge to students by training them in Japanese language and culture while applying to Japanese multinational corporations based in India. The training will also help students be competitive on a global stage. We are confident this program will provide an ideal platform for trained students to prepare for their professional life.” On the partnership, Dr Padmakali said, the MoU is in tune with Amity’s principles and its emphasis on innovation, industry integration and internationalization. She further said that this partnership will help students expand their horizon in terms of employability and knowledge. The training programme will help in our endeavour to shape quality professionals. We are happy to have NJLA on board as our Language and Cultural Training Partner.” Prof Ashok Tiku u emphasised that “We expect that with the right curriculum and courses which will be designed for Amity University Students, this partnership will pave way for better opportunities for students to choose their career.” Mrs. Reena Nigam, Head Amity School Institute and Mrs. Archana Tiwary, Assistant Professor, Japanese Amity School of languages, AUH also expressed their concerns for welfare of students. NEC Japanese Language Academy was inaugurated in 2016 with the aim to cultivate Japanese language skills. Its focus has been to contribute to the mutual economic growth of India and Japan by providing support for overcoming two major challenges, language and cultural barriers.
