Youth Leadership Camp for PU students started
Chandigarh, June 17, 2019: The Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University Chandigarh has been organizing a nine Days camp on “Youth Leadership Training Hiking-Trekking and Rock climbing camp-2019” at Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, District Solan,(Himachal Pradesh). An Orientation programme in respect of this camp was organized by the Department of youth Welfare in the Mahatma Hans Raj Hall of the University, to enlighten the objectives along with rules to be followed by the campers . Dean of University Instruction Prof Shankarji Jha, Registrar Dr Karamjeet Singh, Controller of Examination Dr Parvinder Singh, Director Sports Dr. Parminder Singh, Film & TV Artist Mr Bal Mukand Sharma blessed the campers and appreciated the efforts of the department for organizing such activities time to time. Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director Youth Welfare extended the warm welcome to dignitaries and participants .The Speaker of the Session was Dr Rakesh Khullar, senior Medical Officer from the University delivered a wonderful and useful talk regarding first aid to the camper for their safety measures. Prof Shankarji Jha recited the mantra and pray to god for the success of the camp. Mr. Bal Mukand Sharma shared his lifetime experiences with the participants. Each dignitary also motivated the students for the camp. Dr Monita Dhiman, Administrative Officer of the camp said that the camp has planned to merge learning with practical experiences. The total 132 Students and 6 teachers from various affiliated colleges of University are participating in the camp, as informed by Dr Monita Dhiman.
