Chandigarh, October 4, 2017: The Bharatiya Janata Party today claimed that the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have brought out Indian economy out of the crisis it was plunged by the policies of economist turned Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Tarun Chugh, the National Secretary of the BJP, said that during the 10-year Congress regime the country witnessed a continuous fall in GDP and a constant hike in inflation. The country had to face financial anarchy, the investments dwindled leading to a loss of credibility in the system.

Chugh said it was highly unfortunate that senior Congress leaders including former Union Ministers were criticising the progressive government led by PM Modi without any substance and just for the sake of criticism.

He alleged that the system of providing huge loans on political considerations and the scams in various sectors shattered the Indian economy.

The BJP leader said both Modi and Jaitley had worked hard to bring a qualitative change in the system, introduced revolutionary policies and decisions to bring Indian economy back on the track. He claimed that the results of the efforts would be there for all to see as the country steps into the year 2018.

Chugh said that the GDP and per capita income have gone up while FDI has touched a record high while inflation has touched a new low.

He claimed that the Modi government had controlled unnecessary government expenditure and imposed a financial discipline.

Hailing the 106 new schemes launched by the government to bring the common man of the country into the national financial mainstream, Chugh said Modi by targetting terrorism, corruption and black money has made India proud.

He asked Congress leaders not to mislead the people of the country on this count. Chugh urged them to appreciate the efforts and the results yielded by the visionary policies of the NDA government and not indulge in petty politics just to gain political mileage.
