DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION LAUNCHES FRESH CAMPAIGN TO AWARE THE PEOPLE ABOUT WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

GIVEN A CHANCE GIRLS COULD DO ANYTHING IN ANY FIELD- ADC MALIK
Ludhiana, October 8, 2017: In order to sensitize people under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign the district administration was observing an awareness campaign to inform the people about how the girls were excelling in every field across the country.

One such example was the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) of the district Ms.Surbhi Malik IAS. A 2012 batch IAS officer Ms.Malik has done her graduation Sri Ram College Delhi and pursued her Masters in Computer application from London as a Commonwealth scholar. An inspiration for young girls, Ms.Malik has carved a niche for herself as the Sub Divisional Magistrate in Nangal and as Additional Commissioner in local civic body.

Asked to comment on Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, Ms. Malik said that given a chance girls could do anything as they have been blessed with indomitable spirit of hard work, resilience and dedication. She said that empowemenmt of women was possible only they were given more and more chances to excel in any field. She said that if the girls were given quality education and guidance they could bring laurels for the society, state and country. She said that the girls must also feel proud on themselves as their parents do. Ms. Malik said that this campaign could help a lot in changing the mindset of people besides rectifying the skewing sex ratio.
