The Model Rocketry Festival, at Dikshant Global School, Zirakpur, concluded with students making rocket models & flying these under guidance of model rocketry experts.
Zirakpur, December 21, 2015: The Model Rocketry festival at Dikshant Global School, VIP Road, Zirakpur, concluded today with as many as 100 students from 10 top schools of tricity; designing, building, testing their Rockets for stability & finally flying their own Rocket models. The International Space Society (ISS) in collaboration with Rocketeers- India’s first Model Rocketry agency organized the unique event.
“Over two days students were put through Basic Rocket Science, Aerodynamics, flight mechanics & stability, Rockets & Jet Engines, Model Rocket System design et al. One objective was to make students more enthusiastic towards learning science and math.” Said Mitul Dikshit, President, ISS & Chairman, Dikshant Group of Schools.
