The farmers were trained about techniques of paddy straw management during the paddy harvesting season.

While urging the farmers to not burn paddy straw, the experts from PAU stated that paddy can either be managed in the field or off the field, that can help in saving soil fertility. They stated that this is need of the hour as by following these techniques, the farmers can contribute in saving our environment.
Dr Tejinder Singh Riar urged the farmers to adopt cooperative farming and cut down on farming costs and follow the recommendations of PAU in paddy straw management.
