MADAN MOHAN MITTAL GREETS PEOPLE ON AGRASEN JAYANTI

Chandigarh, September 30, 2016: Madan Mohan Mittal Minister for Industry & Commerce and technical education Punjab today greeted the people of the state, especially the Vaishya community on the eve of “Agrasen Jayanti”.
In a message, He called upon the people to seek inspiration from the ideology of Maharaja Agrasen who during his regime gave the message of welfare state by strengthening social harmony and unity.
Shri Mittal said that Vaishay community had played a pro-active role in the socio-economic progress of the country and hoped this community would actively participate in the development process in future also.
He said that a real tribute to Maharaja Agrasen would be to follow his teachings still relevant in the present circumstances. He appealed to the people to commemorate this auspicious day rising above the parochial considerations of caste, colour, creed and religion.
