Lyallpur Khalsa College’s landmark victory in inter-zonal youth festival championship of GNDU

Jalandhar, November 21, 2019: An impressive program to commemorate Lyallpur Khalsa College’s equally impressive landmark victory the Inter Zonal Youth Festival Championship Trophy of Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar was held in the college with full fervor and enthusiasm. The college has set a tremendous record in the field of cultural activities by winning the prestigious Inter Zonal Youth Festival Trophy of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar after claiming the zonal Runners up trophy prior to this mega event. On this momentous occasion, College Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra, Staff members in charge of youth festival teams and participating students presented the Championship Trophy to President of the Governing Council, Sardarni Balbir Kaur. Speaking on the occasion, Sardarni Balbir Kaur congratulated the trophy presenters with words of encouragement and appreciation on their untiring efforts behind this success whilst assuring high levels of support from the Governing Council. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra informed the college won First prize in 15 events, Second in 4 events and third in one event en route to claiming the overall trophy. Dr Samra also recalled the victorious efforts of 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2018-19 resulting in the college claiming the Overall championship trophy while 2016-17 and 2017-18 as the first runners up. All the staff members associated with the Youth Festival Teams and event committees along with the contingent of participating students were duly honored on this occasion.
