MP TAKES PART IN SPECIAL PRAYERS HELD ON EVE OF SHAB-E-BARAT
LUDHIANA, May 2, 2018: Member of Parliament (MP) Ravneet Singh Bittu appealed the people to work for promoting brotherhood and peace in the country to achieve the objectives of holistic development.
MP spoke these words while addressing an event organized on the occasion of Shab-E-Barat at local Jama Masjid on Tuesday night.
Revealing about religious importance of the occasion, he said that Shab-e-Barat means the night of forgiveness when God forgives sinners and people expect a fortune reversal in the upcoming year.
He said that it is believed to be the night when Almighty writes the destiny of people after taking their misdeeds and sins of past into account.
Punjab Shahi Imam Maulana Habib Ur Rehman Sani Ludhianavi headed this event. He said that each Muslim must seek forgiveness of his sins from Allah by offering prayers so that they can be benevolent to them in the coming year.
After this, MP also took part in other events held near Sherpur Chowk, Jodhewal Basti, and Grain Market areas on this special occasion.
On the occasion, Muslims remained engaged in prayers and the occasion was observed with reverence and humility throughout Ludhiana.
